Bare Trees

Barr trees shiver without leafy clothes

To keep them warm

Winter makes them dormant

Winter makes me dormant

Like an old bear I want to find a cave

Sleep until the warm finds me

But life is not like that is it?

The bare trees know this

They wait for spring apparel

That would put even the richest

Midas to shame.
