Men Don’t Cry

Men don’t cry

That is a lie

They blame allergies

Tears they are taught

To be ashamed of

Salt sting fear

Being found out.

Social taboo say

Men don’t cry

That is a lie.

Real men cry

At sad movies.

Cut to quite quick standing at casket

Of a loved one.

All emotion slap choke down

Self inflicted excuses

Can never deny that even Jesus wept.
