Where is my country?

Why have we embraced cruelty?

I have been young

Now I am old

But I have never seen

Such a rush to hurt others

Calling it Christian.

No it’s not Christian to stomp

On my blue collar brothers and sisters

To lie and cheat and give tax breaks to

Billionaires

While you cut funding that helps poor children

Where is my country?

My once great country that now embraces

Cruelty!
